House Architectural Design Project, 340 m², Netherlands
Concept designMaster plan · 3D model · Schematic design
Architectural design project for a house, 340 m², Netherlands: a black-clad upper floor cantilevers forward on a single support by the entrance. The gap beneath it became a covered carport. No separate canopy was needed. Vertical timber slats screen the terrace corner and the facade's end, rather than cladding the whole house. The ground floor is finished in grey stone, set against the black volume above rather than matched to it. The terrace sits under a slim-columned canopy. Slat screens block the view from neighbours without blocking it from inside.
Rooms: exterior, terrace.
