Townhouse Architectural Design Project, 294 m², San Francisco
Concept designMaster plan · 3D model · Schematic design
Architectural design project for a 294 m² townhouse in San Francisco: three levels down the slope, a terrace on each, a roof in use. The house steps: dark timber volumes push forward while concrete stays at the base. Each projection shelters the terrace below it, so no canopies were needed. The balustrades are black with planting along their rim. The roof deck is dark boards with a travertine fire pit. A clipped hedge stands in for railings. The heater is fixed under the concrete slab.
Rooms: exterior, terrace.
